Superior Walls Set for ABC-TV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
New Holland, PA - Superior Walls of America made it's national network debut as a key player in the popular ABC primetime television program, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on Sunday night, February 20. Superior Walls donated a custom foundation and installation to ABC for the upcoming show featuring the Harper Family in the Atlanta suburb of Lake City, Georgia.
"This opportunity is a unique one for Superior Walls of America" says Aaron Schoeneberger, Superior Walls Director of Marketing, who oversaw the installation in Atlanta on behalf of the New Holland, Pennsylvania-based company. "This was a chance to help a struggling family, while gaining a national network audience for our advanced building technologies."
Superior Walls is America's leading pre-cast concrete foundation system. With its patented contruction methods, the company is rapidly advancing the technologies of the nation's residential home building industry.
Patricia and Milton Harper worked hard and sacrificed for all the right reasons, but still could not achieve their dream of providing a real home for their children. After moving from the projects in Brooklyn, they wanted to give their sons Darius, 17, LaVaughn, 15, and seven-year-old Mister a safe haven to come home to every day. But the first-time homeowners didn't know they had just bought a big dump - literally. Unaware of any problems when they purchased the home, the Harpers soon found themselves knee high in raw sewage! Every time it rained hard - which was often - their septic tank would back up and human waste actually flooded their suburban home. Their furniture, clothes and even their dreams have all been ruined. Recently, their minivan was in an accident, so even that shelter was taken from them. Now, unlike their home, this family is completely drained, both emotionally and financially. In just seven days, the design team, Atlanta-based national homebuilder Beazer Home and hundreds of workers and volunteers were able to turn the Harper's living nightmare of a house into a dream home come true. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy, who lives in Georgia, also came by to lend the show a helping hand.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. It's executive-produced by Tom Forman and this episode is co-executive produced by Denise Cramsey.
Superior Walls of America is the nation's leader in residential precast foundations. Based in New Holland, Pennsylvania, the company has steadily expanded since its founding in 1981, with franchise locations across the U.S. and over 60,000 foundations installed nationwide.
