Weaver Precast to Appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
On March 29th, 2006 ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" completed their first Pennsylvania episode. The show, which normally airs Sundays at 8 o'clock, is now in its third season and features a race against time on a project that would normally take at least 4 months to complete.
The Py family of Philadelphia was surprised on March 22nd, 2006 when "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" gave them a "Good Morning" wake-up call. Grandpa and Grandma Py took on the responsibility of raising their 3 orphaned grandchildren after they lost both their parents to illnesses. Among worries about their finances they also realized their home had both asbestos and lead problems. But thanks to "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in just 7 remarkable days they received a beautiful and safe new home.
Local home builder, Dewey Companies, was selected to participate in this Pennsylvania episode along with over 100 other businesses who donated demolition, construction, materials, time, food, and other items towards the completion of the project. Dewey Companies invited Superior Walls by Weaver Precast to donate a foundation wall system to the family. Weaver accepted the invitation and was honored to work along side of Dewey Companies in this meaningful project.
Superior Walls by Weaver Precast was proud to be a part of such a rewarding experience in which Weaver donated the manufacturing, transportation, and installation of a four foot foundation wall system. We would like to thank all of our employees who helped out with this project, Dewey Companies, and all the other volunteers.
The "Py Family" episode will air on Sunday April 30th at 7pm eastern time on ABC.
